The hostel is conveniently located near metro stations, making it easy to explore the city. It is also within walking distance of the convention center, perfect for those attending events. The hostel has good access to public transport, making it easy to explore different parts of the city. However, it may be a bit difficult to find the main entrance since it's tucked away next to a restaurant.
The hostel lacks an elevator, which can be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage.

We had a fantastic stay at Lucky D's Youth and Traveler's! The location was perfect, just a short walk to downtown and all the attractions. The staff was friendly and always available to help with any issues. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day. The hostel had a relaxed and friendly vibe, making it easy to meet other travelers. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Although there were a few minor drawbacks, such as the noisy street outside and the lack of AC in the room, these did not detract from our overall positive experience. We would definitely recommend Lucky D's Youth and Traveler's for anyone looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay in San Diego. it was a great choice for our trip.

The free breakfast was satisfactory with a variety of bread and fruit options. The location of the hostel was perfect, close to the bustling nightlife of bars and restaurants. It was also conveniently located near a grocery store for cheap meals. I was able to explore the city easily as all the transport I needed was within walking distance.
The room was small and the air conditioner was noisy. The carpet on the fourth floor was filthy and needed replacing.

I stayed during Comic Con, so what I liked is just having an accommodation for Comic Con :) At first I did not like the hostel vibe but as soon as the event started, the place turned into a safe space. The breakfast was great! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Love those details. The location is unbeatable, in the heart of the city and walking distance to most everything! Great location, fun decor, and friendly and knowledgeable staff. Over all, totally enjoyed my stay.
I do recommend this hotel.
